Tuesday’s Taste of the Corporate Playbook: Over/Under

Over/Under

Outdoor Cooperative Game

Length of Activity: 5 minutes

Required materials: 1 ball for each team

How to Play:

  • Have teams line up behind each other, spreading out one arm’s length distance apart.
  • Starting at the front of the line, teams must pass back the ball either over their head or under their legs, alternating methods with each person.
  • When the last person in line gets the ball, he or she runs to the front of the line and starts passing the ball back again.
  • The team is finished when the first person is back at the front of the line.

This game requires a lot of focus and is a great way to energize the office. Take a break from your work and try out these unorthodox movements for a fun competition with your coworkers.

Tuesday’s Taste of the Corporate Playbook: Sardines

Sardines

Outdoor Cooperative Game

Length of Activity: 15-20 minutes

Required materials: none

How to Play:

  • Designate the boundaries of the playing area before you start.
  • One person hides, and the rest of the group gives this person about 1 minute to do so.
  • The group then splits up to find the person hiding. When a person finds the hider, rather than pointing out this person like in regular hide-and-go-seek, he/she joins them in this hiding spot.
  • The game continues until the final person finds the large group in hiding.

Great way to hide from your work and get some fresh air in the meantime. This is a twist on classic hide-and-go-seek, and becomes more fun as more people pile into the compact hiding place.
